Combining views with aspect is always a sought-after feature, but it often presents challenges on a sloping site. In this project, we devised a design that fully embraces this advantageous combination while ensuring straightforward and practical access points leading to the sun-soaked pool with expansive city vistas.
The pool shelter not only offers seclusion from neighbouring views but also strategically faces northeast, maximising solar penetration. A series of sandstone steppers gracefully wind down the slope, accentuating the surrounding garden views, creating tranquil pause spaces, and highlighting the inviting fire pit area.
Meanwhile, the level portion of the site remains open, catering to the energetic pursuits of teenagers with ample space for activities like basketball. This thoughtful layout provides a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, ultimately enhancing the overall experience of the space.
